friday belly shot

20 11 2009

Baby Girl is about 1 pound and 4 ounces & about 12 inches long. She’s quite the kicker and loves to jump around on mommy’s bladder. Fun for her…not so fun for me.

I really can’t believe how fast it’s flying by!! And how fast I’m growing!

24 Weeks

About 113 days to go!!!!! Can’t wait to meet my baby girl!

friday belly shot

13 11 2009

Our baby girl weighs just over a pound now, but you would think she weighs 50 with as heavy as I feel! She’s doing great and getting really strong. I feel her kicking and moving around a lot! It’s so cool that we can see her kicking really well now.

Not the most attractive picture of me…but don’t look at my washed out face in the picture 🙂 (It’s also strange how maternity jeans squeeze it all in and make you look smaller! The belly looks way bigger without jeans on…hence last friday’s belly shot!)

23 Weeks

23 Weeks down…17 to go!

she’s getting on my nerves!

12 11 2009

Already. My daughter is only 5 months old in my womb, and already she’s on my nerves.

Ok, Ok…I’m not a bad mother. I LOVE this little growing baby to death. But she is LITERALLY on my nerve. My sciatic nerve to be exact.

IT HURTS.

Several times this week I’ve almost fallen because I lost all feeling in my leg due to the pain. Ouch.

sciatic

I will be very excited for my sweet baby girl to no longer be inside of me putting pressure on my poor little body. Amazing how something that only weights 1 pound right now can make me hurt so bad!

For those of you that say pregnancy is wonderful and the best you’ve ever felt in your life…I hate you. Seriously, you are not my favorite people right now.

For those of you that have suffered with this, what did you do to help relieve the pain? I’ll try anything!

Oh the positive side of things….

4 MONTHS FROM TODAY IS MY DUE DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

happy halloween!!

31 10 2009

Hubby & I decided to enjoy a nice relaxing last Halloween before our little one enters the world. We have many years ahead of us of costumes and way too much candy! Luckily it’s Saturday evening and we are curled up on the couch enjoying some college football!

I always loved Halloween as a kid! I wanted to share a few too cute pics of me and the hubby as kiddos.

Halloween 1984My first Halloween, as a clown!

Halloween 1987Me & my brother with “Winston”, we made him every year!

Halloween 1990A cheerleader & a nerd. Oh-so-fitting.

Brook HalloweenMy cute hubby as Raggedy Andy…or a clown?

Brook Superman!Brook as Superman/Mighty Mouse. No, this wasn’t actually Halloween,
a daily thing for him but too cute to not share!

I’m really excited to dress up our little girl next year and get candy!! She won’t be old enough to be able to eat the candy so mommy & daddy will get to eat it all!! WOOOOO!!! I hope everyone had a great Halloween!

What was your favorite costume you ever wore as a kid?

what are you craving?

29 10 2009

Pregnancy is…. interesting. I made it through the phase of hardly being able to eat anything and have now entered the phase of wanting to eat EVERYTHING.

Yesterday I was craving one of those GIANT Baked Potatoes smothered in Chopped BBQ Beef.

baked potato
My favorite is from Jason’s Deli, but the closest Jason’s to us was at least 2 hours away. So my amazing husband did all he could to find me one, and he succeeded.  He’s got this pregnancy stuff down. What a good man I have!!

Some may think it looks gross…but I think it’s a little slice of heaven. And Baby Girl thought so too! YUM.

Pregnancy sure brings on some interesting cravings, and they don’t ever seem to go away until you satisfy them. So I’ve been doing my best to satisfy 🙂

Another major one of mine is chocolate milk. However, I’m lactose intolerant. Awesome. I drink Lactaid Milk, and I swear I am responsible for keeping them in business. You’re welcome, Lactaid.

If you’ve been pregnant or your significant other has, what have been some crazy cravings you or she has had?
